We, the family of Christine Diane Steiger, age 45, regret to announce her passing on, Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, after a lengthy illness.
Born in New Waterford, Diane was the daughter of Darlene (Richardson) Steiger and the late Lloyd Steiger.
Diane loved music and playing computer games with her son. She had a large number of medical challenges her whole life, which she faced with courage and strength.
Besides her mother, Diane is survived by her son and best friend, Morgan; brother, Lloyd (Lee); sister, Janet; nieces, Laura Lee, Tracy, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. The funeral mass officiated by Fr. Ray Huntley is Friday at 1 p.m. in St. Leonard Church. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
