CASS, JOAN MYRTLE
It is with sad hearts that the family of Joan Myrtle Cass of Geary, announce her passing on February 28, 2016 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Douglas, she was a daughter to the late Gordon and Myrtle (Reed) Cass.
Joan is survived by her children; Margaret, Gordon (Paula), Anita, Ruth (Brad), Judy (Stephen), Pam, James (Tammy), Johnathan (Dayna), and Peter, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, David and Douglas; sister, Ann Marie, her partner in life Wendell Carr as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and her special little friend Charlie.
She was predeceased by her former husband, Basil O’Leary, an infant son George and numerous siblings.
Although there will be no visitation, a memorial service in memory of Joan will be held on Thursday March 3rd , 2016 from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton at 11 AM with Canon John Sharpe officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the Zionville Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Joan may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
