Passed away peacefully on February 29th, 2016 at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, James Edward Pender age 85 years. Predeceased by his wife Laura; parents Floretta and George Pender; brothers: Douglas and Robert; sisters and brothers-in-law: Raymond, Cyril, George, Hazel, Alma and Lorraine. Left with fond and loving memories are daughters: Valerie (John), Lorraine (Dave) and Jamie; four grandchildren: Paul (Allie), Laura (Rick), Zachary (Stevie) and Tyler; four great grandchildren: Matthew, Kaleigh, Isabella and Wesley; sisters: Lorraine (John), Doris (Tom), Florence (John, deceased), Ruby (Clarence, deceased) and Rosalind (John); sister-in-law Beatrice; brothers: George (Charlotte), Don (Mabel) and Clarence (Terri); as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and PCA's at St. Patrick's Mercy Home who took such excellent care of our beloved father. Cremation has taken place. Visitations held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday, March 3rd from 7pm-9pm and Friday, March 4th from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 5th at 2pm from Barrett's Funeral Chapel, 328 Hamilton Avenue, interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
