MELANSON, JOSEPH
Joseph Henry Melanson, born February 28, 1934, died at home after a brief battle with cancer on February 29, 2016.
He was the owner of Melanson’s Re-Upholstering for 42 years. He was a foster parent for 25 years. Formerly a director for Moncton Amateur Boxing. Joe loved bowling and spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his mother Jeanne Melanson and his father Theophile Melanson; daughter, Paula; son, Joey; sisters, Bernadine, Mable, Corine, Beatrice, Doris, and Laura; brothers, Adelaude (Boyd), Andrew, Albert and Edmond.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Brenda Jill (Kennah) Melanson, sister Lena Wright; daughters, Barbara, Sandra, Donna, Patty, Debbie, Michele, Samantha, Tamara, Meagan and Sarita; sons, Jerry, Mathew, Adam, Ryan, Mitchell, Robert, Nelson, Michael, Aaron, as well as many nieces and nephews and 32 grandchildren.
At his request, a private family service will be held.
