Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. William "Darryl" Barnes, of St. John's, age 57 years. Predeceased by his parents Chesley and Rosemary Barnes and brother Kenneth Barnes of St. John's. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his two sons Darryl and Kenneth of Shediac, N.B; also special friend and mother of his two children Doris Dorion of Shediac, N.B; six sisters Darlene, Cathy, Marlane, Joan, Brenda, Audrey and their families; three brothers Steve, Cecil, Chesley and families, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the staff of the palliative care unit at the L.A. Miller Centre for the care and compassion provided during the last days of Darryl's life. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from Caul's Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers acts of kindness or donations may be made to the Gathering Place.
