John ‘Jack’ Thomas Hines, 76, of Sydney passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 after a lengthy illness at the Northside General Hospital, North Sydney.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Petrie) Hines.
Jack is survived by his wife of 46 years, Blanche (Cholock) Hines; daughter, Natalie (Tim) O’Doherty and their children, Aidan and Cara, Barrie, Ont.; son, Tom (Carolyn) and their children, Hannah, Connor and Owen of Ottawa, Ont.
Visitation for Mr. Hines will take place on Sunday, March 13 from 7-9 p.m. at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel with Rev. Tom MacNeil officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
