GODIN, Albert Joseph – age 85, Eel Brook, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born February 9, 1931 in Shawinigan Falls, Québec, he was a son of the late Léon and Hénédine (Mongrain) Godin. Albert spent the majority of his working life serving with the Canadian Armed Forces. He is survived by his children, Roland Godin, Norwood; Odette Godin, Florida; Daniel and Emile Godin, both of Eel Brook as well as by eight grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a sister, Annette Savoie. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Celine (Deveau) Godin as well as by brothers, Roland, Léo and Roger Godin and a sister, Cécile Godin. Cremation has taken place and there was no visitation by request. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 14 at Saint Anne’s Church, Ste-Anne-du-Ruisseau, Father Albéni d’Entremont officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
