It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Nearing on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Leonard and Margaret (MacDonald) Nearing.
Frank was employed at the Heavy Water Plant.
He is survived by his sisters, Ursula Finlayson and Patricia (Trick) Martin; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Richard (Buddy) and sister, Agatha Vasallo Gillis.
There will be no visitation or funeral service by Frank’s request. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. A graveside service will take place at St Eugene’s Cemetery at a later date.
Donations may be made to the cemetery fund.
We would like to thank the staff at New Dawn for their kindness over the years. As well as the staff at Harbourstone for their love and compassion, shown to Frank the short time he was there.
