Passed away peacefully, but suddenly, at her home in Harbour Grace on Friday, March 11, 2016, Alice Wareham (nee Collett) in her 92nd year, formerly of Harbour Buffett, Placentia Bay. She is predeceased by her parents William and Effie (Bugden); sister Mabel; sister Ruby Flora and former husband Ralph Wareham. She is also predeceased by her sisters-in-law Thora (Jack), Hilda (Basil), Mary Jane (Wilfred), Jennie (Tom) and Ada (Eric), and brothers-in-law Freeman (Mae) and Frank (Irene). Leaving to mourn, her loving husband of 55 years, Percy; sons: Robert and Ralph (Janet); daughter Elizabeth; beloved grandchildren: Allyson Stuckless, Jason, Shane and Jordan; sister Effie (Peg) (Leeland Rodway); brother Jack Collett; brothers-in-law: Alfred (Elizabeth), Wilfred, Baxter (Muriel), Roy (Rowena); sister-in-law Iris (Jack Dicks) and special nieces Judy and Joyce; her many other nephews and nieces include Iris, Kevin, Judy, Heather, Bruce, Ted, John, Greg, Charlene, Diana, Stephen, Ann, Mark, Danny, Susan, Lori, Leeland, Bridget, Angela and Lindsay; as well as very special friends both in Harbour Grace and St. John's. A special thank you to her Bridge Partners, whose company and friendship she cherished. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, March 14, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Tuesday, March 15, from 10 am - 12 noon. Funeral service will take place from Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at 2 pm, with cremation to follow. Interment will take place from the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road on Wednesday, March 16 at 12 noon. As expressions of sympathy donations in Alice's memory may be made to the SPCA, Lupus Newfoundland and Labrador, or a charity of one's choice.
