It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend Cynthia Parker on the Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Wakefield, England she was the daughter of the late Herman and Amy (Walker) Oldroyd.
Cynthia enjoyed knitting, Bingo and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a girl guide leader.
She was a member of the Westmount United Church, Wesmount.
Cynthia is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Raymond Parker; her children, Philip (Kath) Parker, Yorkshire, England, Neill Parker, Ontinyent, Spain, Julie (Rod) MacDonald, East Bay, Racheal Dominey, Westmount, Keith (Cindy) Parker, Calgary; grandchildren, Kristian, Amy-Jean, Emily, John Raymond, Kayla, Matthew, Michael; niece, Susan; nephew, John, both of England.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Margaret Meadows and Betty Oldroyd.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Westmount United Church, with Norma Mills, D.L.M.
