Passed peacefully away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at his residence after a courageous battle with Cancer, Doug Butler age 71 years. Predeceased by his loving wife Nora (nee Fleming), 1998; his parents: Harold and Sarah Butler; brother Harry and sister Joan. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Lee Butler (Judy Lukeman); daughter Joanne Butler; sisters: Shirley Little (Doug) and Margaret Butler (Percy); brothers: Bruce Butler (Gloria), Gordon Butler (Margaret) and Howard Butler (Joy); sister-in-law Eileen Ryan (Glen); special companion and friend: Gwen Yetman; also his four legged friend Bella; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The service of committal will be held at The Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road on Monday, March 21, 2016 with the procession to the cemetery starting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue at 11:00 a.m. No flowers by request.
