BEST (Ettinger), Edna Lucille. Passed away in Windsor on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the age of 87. Edna was born in Kennetcook on January 7, 1929, the second daughter of the late Graham and Maisie (Spence) Ettinger. She was predeceased by her husband, Leslie Best; son, Graham; infant daughter, Cheryl; as well as her brothers, Gerald and Charles Ettinger. Edna is survived by her daughters, Wanda, Catherine and Lynn, all of Nova Scotia; sons, Allan, Charles, Kevin and Mark. She will be missed by her sisters, Mary Emma Curtis, Kenton, MB; Jackie Sitter and Catherine Slobodian, both of Okotoks, AB. Edna spent all her adult life in the Annapolis Valley, living in the Wolfville and Windsor areas, where she had many friends. She had a great sense of humour and always left you with a smile. She had a way of always looking on the brighter side and every new day was a gift. There was a gathering held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23 in the Common Room at 146 Kendall Lane. Music and refreshments were offered and Rev. Garnet Parker said a few words of remembrance. A funeral service will be held at a later date.
