Hartman: Grant Earl, age 66, of Kyle, SK passed away March 13, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. At Grant's request there was no formal service. He is survived by his wife Valerie; sons Cary of Calgary, AB; Bryce (Wendy) of Weyburn, SK; grandsons Brandon, Kyle and Jayden; his aunt Tillie Renz of Golden, BC; cousin Bernie (Trevor) Ulrich of Golden, BC and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his mother and father Lawrence and Rose Hartman and one brother Owen Hartman. Grant was born on July 16, 1949 in Rosetown, SK. He attended school in Kyle and married Valerie Shaw on September 14, 1974 at the White Bear United Church. Grant worked for the R.M. of Lacadena as a gravel truck driver and was a member of the Kyle Elks Club. What he loved most was his family and grandchildren, hunting and fishing, carpentry and having his family close to him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We, Grant's family, would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our relatives, friends, and neighbours for all the help, delicious food, flowers, cards, visits, kind words and memorial donations, at this time of Grant's passing. We are especially grateful to Dr. Cooper, Alicia Cheney and the staff at the Kyle Medical Clinic and Charlotte at Kyle Home Care for the care given to Grant in his final days.
