JOHNSTON, FREDERICK
Surrounded by his family, Frederick Arthur Johnston, loving husband to Sheri Ingersoll, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, following a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Harvey, NB on April 17, 1960 he was the son of Joan (Darrah) Johnston and the late Berton Johnston.
In addition to his father he was predeceased by his daughter Jessica Johnston; brother Raymond Johnston; sister Joanne Owens and mother-in-law Pauli Ingersoll.
Fred was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish with his boys and enjoyed spending time at his camp. He was big sports fan, especially loved his Boston Bruins. His sense of humor will always be remembered by his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his loving wife Sheri, and his mother Joan, he is survived by his children Jediah (Ruby), Cody (Robyn), Sarah (Brandon) and Brett (Kelsey); cherished grandfather to granddaughter Aliya; sister Colleen Arseneault (Peter); father-in-law Don Ingersoll; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) where visitations will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Libre Service to Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 12:10 p.m.
