Age 90, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 13, 2016, in the Northwood Bedford, Ivany Place.
Born April 8, 1925 in Glace Bay, 'Ella' was the daughter of the late James and Ellen (Hall) Petrie.
Ellen is survived by son Francis (Donna) Lower Sackville, sister Rita MacKillop, Glace Bay, brother Jackie, Waterloo, Ont.; grandchildren Bryson, Fort McMurray, Alta., Brandon (Katie), Lower Sackville, Ashley, Kingston, Ont.; great-grandchildren, Hanna and Diamond; special niece Colleen MacLellan and many nieces and nephews.
Ellen was predeceased by her husband Eldrid (Babe), son Greg (Tooty), four sisters, Euphemia, Winnie, Rita, Shirley, four brothers, Bernie, Jim, Dave and John. Ella will be missed by all her family and friends who loved her dearly.

Cremtion has taken place and a mass and burial will take place in Glace Bay at a later date.
