McCULLOUGH, Douglas Willard – 75 of Yarmouth, N.S. passed away on March 20th, 2016 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Freeport, Digby County he was the son of the late Harold and Sarah (Stark) McCullough. Douglas was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He was a fisherman for his working career and started fishing on his own in 1976 before retiring 1999. In his spare time he loved woodworking and watching hockey and baseball. He is survived by his loving wife Alice (Dorman), Yarmouth; daughter, Kim (Stephen) Surette, Yarmouth; son, Jeffery, Yarmouth; brother, Nelson (Dottie), Digby; sisters, Beulah Burns, B.C.; Nettie Outhouse, Port Maitland; Marg Davidson, Digby; and grandson, Joshua. Besides his parents, Douglas was predeceased by his son in infancy, Michael; brothers, Sheldon, Ronald (Anna); and Emerson; sister, Erna; and granddaughter, Alexandra (died at birth). Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Cremation has taken place and there was no funeral or visitation by his request.
