DILIGENT RIVER – Neta M. Bowden, age 95, of Diligent River passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan surrounded by her family.
Born in Wood’s Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Everett and Lila (Canning) Yorke.
She is survived by sons, Ivan (Arlene), Lower Sackville; Maurice (Katherine), Diligent River; Arthur (Darlene), Parrsboro; daughters, Maxine, Diligent River; Betty Johnson (Robert), Diligent River; Lisa West (John), Fox River; sisters, Eva Yorke (Willard), Diligent River; Evelyn Lamb, Diligent River; Jean Bowden, Fox River; brothers, Layton Yorke, Fox River; Donald Yorke (Lalia), Stewiacke; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald; a daughter, Donna Smithson; brothers, Charles, Kenneth.
