MANUEL, LOUISE
It is with great sadness that the family of Louise Manuel announces her sudden passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 28th, 2016. Louise was born on July 2, 1927; a daughter of the late William and Rose (Chaisson) Manuel, and the wife of the late Louis Manuel.
She cherished every moment that she spent with her family. She was a people person; the more people that were around her, the better. Louise loved to knit and donate her crafts to churches at Christmas time.
She is survived by her eight children; sons Alisbon, Wilmond (Sharon), Neil (Arlene), and Keith (Julie), all of Saint John, Louis Manuel of St. George; daughters Pierrette Jenkins (Stephen), and Claudia Hoyt, both of Saint John, Loretta Bell (Tom) of Dartmouth, NS; 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, sister Diane Doucet, special friends Orville Jenkins and Doris Duguay, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Louise was predeceased by her son Gille Manuel, daughters Adrienne and Lorna Manuel, Bridgette Dunn, as well as eight brothers, and five sisters.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). Although there will be no visitation, family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 1st at 2:00 p.m.
For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
