LUCE, VICTOR
(1938 -2016)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Victor Luce at Tracadie Hospital on March 28th 2016, at the age of 77. He was the son of the late Angélina Haché and late Warren Luce, ex-spouse of Célestine Chiasson, and ex-common-law partner of Gisèle Saulnier.
Victor is survived by his daughters France (Kim Foster) of Belleville, ON, Diane (Robert Séguin) of Montreal, QC, his son, Mario of Ottawa, ON, his granddaughter Tanya McIntyre (Jason Nourry) of Kingston, ON; his brothers Louis (Cindy) of Breaux-Bridge, Louisiana, USA, François (Ghislaine) of St-Irénée, and Jean-Charles of Sherbrooke, QC, his sister Mariette (Robert) of Power River, BC, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his sister Marie-Blanche Vézina and his niece Michèle Vézina. He will be missed by all.
Victor was born on September 29, 1938 in Lamèque, NB. His life was filled with love, travel, adventures and friendship. He worked for Énergie NB Power for 35 years (1958-1993). He was a councilors for the town of Tracadie (1974-1983). He had a passion for genealogy and was an active committee member of the Société Généaologique de Tracadie; he was a life member of the Progressive Conservative Party of New-Brunswick and member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada.
His arrangements are with La Coopérative Funéraire “La Colombe”, located at 667, rue Saulnier Ouest, Tracadie, with visitations on Wednesday March 30th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and Thursday, March 31st starting at 2 p.m. followed by the 4 p.m. mass at l’Église de la Paroisse St-Jean-Baptiste et St-Joseph of Tracadie. Interment will occur in the spring at Petite-Rivière-de-l’Ile.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
