ROBINSON, VIDA
The peaceful passing of Vida Elizabeth Robinson last surviving member of her immediate family occurred on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Rocmaura Nursing Home her residence for the last 3 ½ years. Prior to this she lived at Hillcrest Village for 23 years. Vida was the daughter of Maude (Boyle) and Herman Robinson.
She was a lifelong resident of Saint John west and was an employee of Prudential Insurance of America with 35 years of service retiring in 1975. She was a very active member of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
Vida was predeceased by her parents, brother Clyde and very good friends Glen and Ruth Fairweather.
She is survived by cousins Jean Muir, Judy Boyle, Margaret Wilson and friends Gail (Fairweather) Fogarty and her family Kimberly and Giuliano DeBortoli, Craig and Donna Wood, James and Barb Wood and families and Kay Upton.
We would like to thank the staff and management for their compassion and care during her stay at Rocmaura.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). At Vida’s request there will be no visitation. A Memorial service will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd at 10:00 am on Saturday April 2, 2016. Reception will be held at the church hall following the service.
