REID, GEOFFREY WADE
The passing of Geoffrey “Geoff” Wade Reid occurred on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 7, 1956 in Stanley, NB he was the son of Stanley and Velma (Hossack) Reid.
Geoff was a Taxi Driver for George’s Taxi. He enjoyed hunting, four wheeling and loved the outdoors.
In addition to his parents, Geoff is survived by his daughter, Stacey Haines (Michael) of Calgary, AB; son Jamie Reid of Fredericton, NB; step-children, Chad and Kristen Davis of Boiestown, NB; granddaughter, Meah; brothers, Danny Reid (Cheryl) of Lincoln, NB and Barry Reid (Heather) of Williamsburg, NB; several nieces and nephews; longtime partner and special friend, Gwen Davis; and best friend and hunting companion Norm Trider.
Although there will be no Visitation, a Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 2 pm with Mr. Wally Ellis (DLM) officiating.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, 3 East Wing (Palliative Care Unit) and to Dr. Gowan and Dr. Wiley for all of the incredible care they provided Geoff.
