VON RICHTER, ALWARD
The family of Alward "Al" Nelson von Richter announce his peaceful passing on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Bobby’s Hospice. Alward was born in West Saint John, NB, on October 21, 1938 to the late William and Muriel (Harned) von Richter and was the loving husband of 56 years to Carol (Allaby) von Richter.
He is predeceased by four brothers; Nicky (1963), Ivan (1988), Chris (2003), Don (2015), two sisters-in-law Barb (Danells) von Richter and Barb (Osburn) von Richter as well as his father-in-law Walter Allaby.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitations will be held on Wednesday, April 6 from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Liturgy with Holy Communion will be held from Alward’s home church, St. Mary and St. Bartholomew’s on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11am, with a reception to follow in the church hall. Following cremation, a family burial will take place at a later date.
The family would like to thank the Extra Mural Team and the staff and volunteers of Bobby’s Hospice for their care, compassion and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, St Mary and St. Bartholomew’s Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
