OVESEN, HELENE EMILIE
The death of Helene Ovesen of Saint John occurred on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born on May 22, 1934 in Saint John.
Prior to her retirement, Helene was employed as an x-ray technician in radiology at the SJRH. She also successfully taught many students over the years her knowledge of radiology. Helene was a woman of great faith and had been an active member of HOPE Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she sat as chairman of the church council for several years. Helene loved the theatre and always enjoyed her time as a member of the Saint John Theatre Company. She will be sadly missed.

Helene is survived by her sister, Jenny Bishop of Ontario; nephew, Andrew Perkins (Kathryn); niece, Lise Dracup (Mark); great-nephew, Justin; as well as great-nieces, Taylor, Sydney and Amanda.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John with visiting on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 12:00 Noon.
