It is with the utmost regret and sorrow, we announce that on Sunday, April 17, 2016, Reg, beloved husband of Lil, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Reg was born in Prince Albert, SK on December 28, 1948 to Joseph and Gladys Garneau. He met and married Lil Brandrick in 1970 in Prince Albert. Together their relationship of 45 years was devoted to each other and their family. Reg’s family was so important to him. He will be missed by all those who loved and were loved by him. Reg and Lil worked in Prince Albert for several years then moved to Mackenzie, BC for 4 years. When they moved back home to Prince Albert, Reg worked at Canadian Tire and became a journeyman mechanic. Later he worked at Moker & Thompson Implements for a number of years. After retirement he worked for the Prince Albert Catholic Schools as a casual caretaker. Reg loved camping, fishing, golfing, watching hockey (Montreal Canadiens) on TV and taking trips to various destinations. Reg is survived by his loving family and numerous friends: his wife of 45 years Lil, one daughter Tracy (Steve Ford) and her children Ethan and Megan and his children Joshuwa, Logan and Karbella, one son Kurtis (Melissa) and their daughter Emily, one brother Gary (Linda), four sisters Thelma, Shirley, Fay (Ed Kachuck) and Doreen (Daryl Deschryver), his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Russel Brandrick, Irene (Irving Feader), Hazel (David Brown), Ed Brandrick (Rosemary), many cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by: his father and mother Joseph and Gladys Garneau, two brothers Fred and Bob, two brothers-in-law Bill Arnold and Ron Lindskog, his sister-in-law Agnes Brandrick, his nephew Dennis Kachuck, his step-father Paul Poilievre, his step-father-in-law Shirl Giles, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Eric Brandrick and Mary Giles. A celebration of Reg’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 23 from River Park Memorial Chapel with Father Travis Mryheim officiating. A private family interment will follow the celebration at the Garden of Memories, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Donald M. Moriarty, Funeral Director
