Passed peacefully into eternal rest at Lakeside Homes, Gander surrounded by his loving children and grandchildren. Predeceased by his loving wife Marie on March 6, 2015; parents William and Elizabeth; brother Michael; sisters: Mary Turner, Josephine Aylward, Bride Donovan and Elizabeth Turner. He is survived by daughters Mary (Mel), Anita (Harold) Reardon, Margaret (John) Critchley, Elizabeth (Kevin) O'Rielly, Rita (Raymond-deceased) L'Heureux, Theresa (Eric) Critchley, Maureen (Sharon)' sons Mike (Ann), Bill (Cathy), John Jr. (Brenda), 25 grandchildren and 33 great-randchildren. He will be sadly missed by numerous other relatives and friends in his community of St. Brendan's, Bonavista Bay. Resting at St. Gabriel's Church, St. Brendan's, Bonavista Bay. Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 7-10 pm, Friday, April 22, 2016 from 10 am-10 pm. There will be a eulogy given to celebrate John's life by son-in-law Harold at 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday April 23, 2016 at 11 am. Interment to follow at St. Gabriel's Cemetery. Flowers greatly appreciated or donations in his memory to the Diabetic Association of NL, St. Gabriel's Church Parish Fund or a charity of one's choice.
