CROSBY, M. Cecilia – 95, The Meadows Home for Special Care, Yarmouth, formerly of Tusket, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 21, 2016 in The Meadows. Born June 28, 1920 in Tusket, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Annie (Doucette) LeBlanc. Cecilia was a homemaker and was a proud 40+ year Associate and Auxiliary member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 61, Yarmouth. She is survived by her loving children, Shirley (Paul) Deveau, Tusket; John Crosby, Forest Glenn; Gail Muise, Dartmouth; Mike Crosby, Tusket; William Crosby, Tusket; Reigh (Eleanor) Crosby, Little River; 25 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, as well as a brother, Fred (Barbara) LeBlanc, Yarmouth and several nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Carl C. Crosby; a daughter, Lorraine Jacquard; a son, Greg Crosby and sisters, Anne Doucette, Dora McGuire and Betty Muise. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday with a Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary service at 7:30 p.m., followed by prayers at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 25 at Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father Henry Smolenaars officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only.
