McKINLEY, AGNES LORETTA
1926 - 2016
Agnes Loretta McKinley, 89,of Lakeview Manor, Riverview and formerly of Riverside-Albert passed away peacefully on April 30th, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Albert, NB on May 16th, 1926 the daughter of the late Manus and Mary Jane (Whalen) McKinley.
She graduated from Riverside Consolidated School. She worked most of her life with Barbour Foods-Reid's Wholesale Division in Moncton. She was a life long member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church and her faith was very important to her. She was a very social lady who loved music, dancing, skating and bowling. She was a faithful friend, sister and daughter, tending to her sister through a lengthy illness and looking after her mother at home to the age of 105. She was also a very faithful volunteer, volunteering with the Irish Cultural Society, The Caring Kitchen, Forest Dale Home and putting in many hours with her bowling league. She will be forever remembered for her kind and caring ways.
Agnes will be missed by her three nephews, Donald Wayne, Kenneth Dale and Stephen Michael McKinley and their families, all of ON; her sister-in-law, Evelyn McKinley of Hillsborough and her very dear friend, Matilda "Tilly" Pineau of Moncton and by several cousins. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her cherished siblings, Benedict, Eileen, Wilfred (Geraldine) and Minser.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home on Monday evening from 7 to 9 pm. A Prayer Vigil and a time for sharing memories will take place at 8:30pm. The funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church , Riverside-Albert on Tuesday, May 3th, 2016 at 11am with Father Phil Mulligan officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Ghost Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB.
