The death occurred peacefully at her late residence on Sunday, May 1, 2016, of Mary "Laurie" Bernard of Summerside, aged 69 years. Laurie was born in Summerside, to her late parents Arthur and Dorothy (nee Gallant) Bernard. Survived by her brother Keir (Barb) Bernard, brother-in-law Donald Maynard and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Laurie was predeceased by her sister Rita Maynard and brother Roy Bernard. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Church Cemetery on Thursday, May 5, at 1 p.m. Memorial donation in Laurie's memory to the P.E.I. Mental Health Association would be greatly appreciated.
