McGUIRE, AUDREY LILLIAN
It is with great sadness that the family of Audrey Lillian (Fox) McGuire announces her death on May 3rd, 2016 at the the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born September 12th, 1927 in Upper Southampton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Beulah (Dore) and Alfred Fox, and wife to Donald McGuire.
Audrey and Donald often camped in their trailer in St. Andrew's and PEI and made many trips to Florida. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church and the UCW for many years as well as being involved in Gyro International and the Fredericton Shuffleboard Club. She can be remembered for working with Beaver Foods at Fredericton High School and how she loved to play bridge with her York Street neighbors.
Audrey is survived by her loving husband, Donald; her children, Paul McGuire (Krystyna) of Shelburne, ON, Keith McGuire (Irene) of Halifax, NS and Connie Johnson (Bob) of Saint John, NB; grandchildren, Josh McGuire (Meghan), Adam McGuire (Kylin), Kyle McGuire, Kelly McGuire (Chuck), Wesley McGuire, Matthew McGuire (Maha), Ben McGuire (Coco), Jessica Johnson (Braylon), Nathan Johnson; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Aubrey, Eoin, Margaret, Selena, Claire, Hannah, Olivia and Rylie as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Audrey was predeceased by her parents; her siblings, Merlin Fox, Medley Fox, infant John Fox, Enid Strong, Muriel Gordon, Edith Walker, Kathleen McGuire, Joyce Hues and Joan MacDonald-Hicks.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff in palliative care on 3E and 4SE of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital as well as Marilyn, Marie, Carol and Wanda from Bayshore Home Care for their kindess and support. It is much appreciated.
Visitation will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home in Fredericton, NB on Thursday, May 5th, 2016 from 4 to 6 pm. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's United Church, on Friday, May 6th, 2016 at 2:00 pm and will be under the direction of Flewelling's Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Bowley will officiate. Interment will take place in the Otis Drive Cemetery in Nackawic, NB later that day.
