Gerald Sylvester Blanchard (1937-2016) of Trenton, Ont. (formerly of Springhill) passed away peacefully at his home on May 7th; son of the late Herb and Edith Blanchard.
Loving husband of 56 years to Brenda (nee Spence) and beloved father to Gerry (Dria) of Ajax and Angela (Ed) of Trenton (Ontario).
Survived by his sisters, Eleanor Hunter (Amherst, NS), Mary Hopkins (Springhill, NS) and Catherine (Harvey) Davies (London, Ontario). Predeceased by his brothers Donald and Arthur. Proud grandfather of Andrew (Katie), Ryan (Edward), Garett (Ruth), Stephanie (Erik), Eddie (Hannah), Tiffany (Jake) and Eric (Stella) and great grandfather to nine children.
