1931 - 2016
Charles Strachan passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Monday, May 16, 2016 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Auld's Cove, NS, son of the late William and Elsie (Riles) Strachan.
Charles will be sadly missed by his wife Theresa (Ouellette) Strachan, three sons; Brian (Velma), Bill (Debby) and Jim, four daughters; Joanne Ouellette, Debbie Strachan (Eddie Mazerolle), Brenda Strachan and Helen Strachan (Ricky Ayles), 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Charles is also survived by one brother Jim (Mary-Lou), one sister Helen "Nellie" Forbes, sister-in-law Verna as well as several nieces, nephews and his second family Acme Group.
Besides his parents, Charles was predeceased by his brother Doug.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 12:00 pm to 1:50 pm followed by a celebration of Charles life in the Chapel of Fair Haven at 2:00 pm. A reception will be held in the Garden View Reception Room immediately following the service. Interment in Fair Haven Cemetery.
