The death occurred at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home of Vera Kathleen MacKay (nee Hancock) on Saturday, May 21, 2016, age 96 years. Born in London, England, Dec. 19, 1919, Vera immigrated to Canada in January 1946 as war bride of the late Elmore M. MacKay of Stanley Bridge. Predeceased by sister, Ruby Hemistock at age 96. Survived by two sons Leslie and Lyle, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A private service was held at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home on Monday, May 23, 2016.
