KELLY, RAYMOND GERALD
The passing of Raymond Gerald Kelly of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 19, 1931 in Kouchibouguac, NB, he was the son of the late Robert and Gertrude (Gabriel) Kelly.
Raymond retired from the Canadian Armed Forces, he was a Veteran of the Korean War; he also worked on the Alaska Pipeline. Raymond was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4.
Raymond is survived by his daughters, Sandra McLean (Lee) of Oromocto, NB and Shelley Giggie of Keswick Ridge, NB; sons, Kevin Kelly of Fredericton, NB and Shane Carr (Ashley) of Saint John, NB; grandchildren, Daphnie, Deidre, Colin and Nathaniel; great grandchildren, Sophie and Abiegale; sisters, Marilyn, Debbie, Winnie and Elaine all of Ontario; brothers, Wally (Cathy), Roger (Susie) and Everett (Cece) all of British Columbia and Blaine (Bri Lasaca) of Northwest Territories; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Sarah; sister, Roberta Kelly; brothers, Howard, Lloyd, Fred, Billy, Bernard and Doug.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 6:45 pm for a Legion Tribute Service. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.
