BRIGGS, Psyche Audrey
Psyche Audrey Briggs, of Bangor, Maine, passed away at Saint Joseph Hospital in Bangor, on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at the age of 98 years. She was born at Sisson Ridge, NB on March 31, 1918, daughter of the late Frederick and Grace (Cliff) Vandine.
Psyche is survived by one son, Peter Briggs and his wife Elsie of Hamilton, Ontario; and one sister, Grace Rothwell of Woodstock, NB, She was the treasured grandmother of her granddaughter Shelly, her grandsons Craig, Bryan, Allen, Kevin and Adam, four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Psyche loved her family and friends. She loved to visit them and when she was unable to visit she would call to keep in touch. She touched many lives in many different ways. Besides her parents, she was pre deceased by one daughter, Beryl Stymiest, grandson Steven Grant and two brothers, Wendell Vandine and Arnold Vandine. Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB , with visiting on Saturday from 12:00 pm to 1:00pm. The funeral service will begin at 1 pm in Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bill Fernette will be officiating, with interment in the Linton Corner Cemetery on Monday at 12:00 noon.
