MURRAY, ELLA MAY (SILLIKER)

The death of Ella Mae (Silliker) Murray of Newcastle, NB, widow of Kenneth Murray occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the age of 82.

Born in Sillikers, NB, Ella was the daughter of the late Ward and Freda (Payne) Silliker.

Ella was a sales clerk for the former Zellers in Moncton, NB and a member of St. James & St. John United Church, Newcastle, NB and Mountianview United Church, Moncton, NB.

Ella is survived by four daughters: Lynn Liao (Philip) of Charlotte, NC, Sandra Stiles of Fredericton, NB, Nancy Sampson (Paul) of North Vancouver, BC and Dr. Debra Wilson (Dr. Donald Wilson) of Edmonton, AB; two sons: Brian of Newcastle, NB and David (Yenmi) of Richmond, BC; two sisters; Ruth Ann Berry (James) and Mary Manson all of Moncton, NB; three brothers: Elmer (Elizabeth) of Sunny Corner, NB, Jerry of Rexdale, ON and Stephen (Roberta) of Parker AZ; eight grandchildren: Jessica, Sarah and George (Gerry) Sampson; Olivia, Sydney and Avery Murray; and Makayla and Danika Wilson; two great nieces: Amanda Harris Barton and Calysta Mae Manson and several nieces and nephews.

Ella is predeceased by one infant son: Lawrence; one son: Robert; one sister: Muriel and one brother: Huxley.

Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home on Sunday only from 2 to 4 PM. Funeral Service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Monday, May 30, 2016 at 2 PM with Rev. Alice Szemök officiating. Burial will follow in the Burnt Church Union Cemetery.

In Ella’s memory a donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB: Telephone: 622-3600.
