JAILLETVILLE, NB – Russell Girvan 88, of Riverview passed away peacefully at the The Salvation Army Lakeview Manor in Riverview, NB on Thursday, May 26, 2016. Born in Jailletville, he was the son of the late Harry Girvan and late Margaret (Beers) Girvan. Before retiring, Russell was a farmer.
Russell will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Constance Cain (Art Laviolette) of Saint John, Katheryn Girvan of Stilesville; three sons, Ronald of Stilesville, Kenneth (Janet) of Winnipeg, Barry (Mary-Lynne) of Indian Mountain; five grandchildren, Lori-Jo, Corey, Katie, Kelly, Grace and five great-grandchildren, Hailey, Justin, Jessica, Trent and Chloe.
He is also survived by one sister; Alda Cutcliffe of Riverside-Albert and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Janice (Jones) Girvan; one sister, Phila McEachern and two brothers, Albert and Sam.
A reception will be held at the Beersville Community Hall on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Donations in Russell’s memory may be made to The Salvation Army Lakeview Manor, 50 Suffolk Street, Riverview, NB, E1B 4K6. Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
