Passed away suddenly at home in Hammonds Plains on Friday, May 20th at age 66.
Born in St. Lawrence, Newfoundland, he was the son of the late Elizabeth (Fitzpatrick) and Harry Tarrant. Hugh is survived by his wife Sheila (Carr), daughters Jillian (Stephen) Bussey, Megan, Winnipeg, Manitoba and granddaughters Kate and Sarah Bussey as well as five brothers and six sisters plus 17 nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother in childhood.
Hugh served for 34 years with the RCMP retiring as Inspector in 2004. A beloved husband, father and treasured Papa, he was an avid sportsman particularly enjoying soccer and golf.
No visitation by personal request. Cremation has taken place.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 6th at 1pm at St Marguerite Bourgeouys Parish Church ,18 Scholars Road, Upper Tantallon NS.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
