It is with broken hearts that we announce, after a long and courageous battle with an illness, that Don Spurrell, age 39 years, passed away on June 3, 2016. Leaving behind with broken hearts but wonderful memories, his best friend and wife Kerri Lynn; his two precious children which were the pride and joy of his life, Rachel and Logan; his two faithful dogs Ben and Chloe. Also leaving to mourn his mother Rosalind Spurrell; father Larry Spurrell; parents-in-law Paul and Sharon Walsh; grandfather-in-law Nelson Mutrey; brothers: Scott (Kristy) and Doug (Lisa); brother-in-law Colin Walsh (Lynn); and his nieces and nephew: Jessica, Jamie, Brooklyn and Brady Spurrell. Don will also be missed by a large circle of extended family members and friends. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. A Celebration of Life will occur on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 2 p.m. from Barrett's Chapel. Cremation has already taken place. Don was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He was also very well respected in his career. While Don was taken from us far too early, he left a positive impact on so many people in both his personal life and work life. He will be forever remembered in our hearts. The Spurrell and Walsh families would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for the unbelievable family support and the incredible network of friends, neighbours, and co-workers that supported us throughout Don's illness. We would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff for their continuous compassion and care during Don's illness.
