It is with great sadness that the family of the late Martin Joseph Connors announce his peaceful passing on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 83. He will be sadly missed by his children: Geraldine (Shaun) McCarthy, David (Tina), Michele (Mike) Charette, Paul (Sheila) and Glen (Janice); grandchildren: Dyanna, Conor, Matthew, Chloe, Maxime, Nickolas, Marc, Shayna, Jean-Philippe, Chad, Shavonne, Jessica, Brandon and Hannah; great-grandchildren: Logan, Emma, Aubrey, Charlie, Adriana, Raven and Charlotte; brother: John (Peggy), nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. Predeceased by his wife of 54 years Winifred, son Danny, parents John and Angela, brother Benny (Dot), sisters, Elizabeth (Edward) Prioli, Mona (Alex) Yetman. Special thanks to Dr. Yordan Karaivanov, the staff of Labrador Grenfell Health and The Health Sciences Centre. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Tuesday June 7, 2016 from 1-4 and 6-9 pm. The funeral service to take place Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from Our Lady Queen of Peace Church at 2 pm. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
