Jean Elliot

ELLIOT, JEAN AGNES
Born December 30 1923, died May 31 2016. Youngest and last surviving daughter of Daniel and Mabel Elliot, sister of Kit, Lulu and Maisie of Scotland. After working in Kirkcudbright Post Office, coming to Saint John with her Pops in July 1954, she went straight to work with NBTel until retirement, making many firm friends.

Variously known as Nannie/Jean/Jeanae to extensive family scattered across UK, NZ, Ontario and NB. A generous and loving Auntie, Cousin and friend, fun loving and thoughtful. For many years she lived with the 'golden girls' Bessie, Ollie and Gladys on the corner of Pitt and Broad, taking opportunity to travel when she could. Jean loved her car, she took many spontaneous driving expeditions through country roads visiting friends on the way, arriving by the coast to capture the beautiful sunsets.

She ended her days in the loving care of the Turnbull Nursing Home and was much loved by them. She passed away after a short hospital admission; well cared for by staff, supported by loving friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday June 9th, Visiting 11:30 am, Service 12:00 pm Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634–7424), followed by interment at Fernhill Cemetery. Online condolences may be placed at www.BernansFH.com
