CURTIS, HAYWARD
The passing of Hayward Curtis of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Laura (Pollick) Curtis occurred onTuesday, June 7, 2016 at the Oromocto PublicHospital. Born on September 25, 1920 in Gray Rapids, NB, he was the son of the late Moses and Mae (Sullivan) Curtis.

Hayward lived a full life doing what he loved. You often found him tinkering with something in his garage, or working in his garden. He loved spending time with his family, the “boys” at the mall, and socializing with his Capital CommunityChurch family. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle ways and was loved by all who knew him. A gentle man to the end.

Hayward is survived by his son, Kevin Curtis (Rose) of Durham Bridge, NB; grandchildren, Dustan (Erica), Josie and Georgia; great grandchildren, Kason, Kasidy, Neaveh and Mia; brother, Shirley Curtis (Ann) of Lakeville Corner, NB; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and wife, Hayward was predeceased by his infant son, Hayward Goldwyn Curtis; sisters, Lena Hayes, Ester Curtis, Melissa Elliot and Stella Parent; brothers, Linsey, Henry, Wilson, Lyman and Emmerson.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Capital Community Church on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 11 am with Rev. Raymond Woodward and Rev. Jack Leaman officiating. Interment will take place inDouglas Rural Cemetery.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s society, the palliative care unit at the Oromocto Hospital, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
