PRIEST, LAURA ETTA
Laura E. Priest of Central Waterville, NB passed away on June 7, 2016 at Hospice House in Fredericton, NB. She was 90 years old. Laura was born in Mount Pleasant, PEI, a daughter of the late Russell and Florence (Buchanan) Bigger.

Laura left the Island at two years of age when her family moved to McAdam, NB. She graduated from McAdam High School in 1945 and worked at the CP Railway Station for five years. Laura attended Bible School in Newcastle Bridge, NB in 1948. She married the love of her life in 1949 and worked tirelessly beside him in the ministry for 50+ years. She held a licence with the UPCI for forty years. Laura loved her family unconditionally.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Priest and Anne Thornton (Dana); nine grandsons, Jason (Nicole), Anthony (Crista), Jeremy (Sandi), Stephen (Barb), Ashley, Raymond (Angie), Jonathan, Peter and Paul (Emily); thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Rev. Raymond Priest; her son, George; two sisters, Rillie and Avis and a brother Ralph.

Visiting hours will be held at Temperance Vale United Pentecostal Church, 34 Pike Hill Road, Temperance Vale, NB on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 2 pm from the church with Pastor Paul Thornton and Rev. Terry Brewer officiating. Private interment at Otis Cemetery. The family invites you to stay after the service for a time of fellowship and remembering.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Laura, the family has suggested the Foreign Student Program of the Temperance Vale United Pentecostal Church or Fredericton Hospice House. Arrangements by Flewelling Funeral Home, Nackawic, NB.
