The death occurred peacefully at the Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, N.S., on Thursday, June 9, 2016, of Joseph “Daniel” Gallant of Summerside, aged 75 years. Daniel was born in Miscouche to his late parents Leslie and Lillian (nee DesRoches) Gallant. Survived by brother and sisters Alfred (Laura) Gallant, Pauline Reivonen, Janet (Ian) Crockett and brother-in-law Roy Arsenault. Besides his parents, Daniel was predeceased by his sister Mary Arsenault, a brother and sister in infancy, brother-in-law Robert Reivonen and nephew Tommy Gallant. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Monday, June 13, for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Memorial donations in Daniel’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
