MacDONALD, JOHN E.
It is with heart break and sadness the family announce the death of John Ensley MacDonald of Saint John, who passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital unexpectedly on Saturday, June 11, 2016. Born in Saint John, July of 1951, he was the son of the late Earl and Marguerite (Ewart) MacDonald.

John worked for over 45 years for the Irving Oil Refinery where he was a Labor Supervisor. John was a devoted family man, who enjoyed time with family and friends and especially his grandchildren.

John is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Gail (Robison) MacDonald; son Kenneth MacDonald (Lyndsey) and daughter Crystal Gail Baird (Luke) all of Saint John; two precious grandsons who meant the world to “Bampy”, Cohen and Walker; brother Richard MacDonald (Jane), sister Lynn Hoyt (John) both of Saint John and Judy Murphy of Quispamsis; sisters–in–law Cathy McKeown and Heather Palmer (Dwight) both of Saint John; several nieces, nephews and friends; canine four legged son Max; and two grand dogs Maggie and Tilley.

Along with his parents; John was predeceased by his brother Douglas MacDonald; sister Carole Marr; niece Christin McKeown, brother–in–law Joe Maher and best friend and brother–in–law Percy McKeown.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646–2424) with visitation on Monday and Tuesday, June 13th and 14th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 15th, 2016 from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery.

Due to John’s love of animals and pets, donations in his memory can be made to the Saint John SPCA.
