Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, June 9, 2016, Catherine 'Kitty' Penney of Carbonear, in her 100th year. Predeceased by: husband: William; infant children: Patsy and William; grandson: Glen. Left to mourn, seven daughters: Shirley (Vivian) Hiscock, Victoria, Betty King, Perry’s Cove, Robyn Moloughney, Ottawa, Sandra (Harold) Noel, Perry’s Cove, Isabelle (Doug) Sheppard, Harbour Grace, Jennifer Giroux, Brampton, ON, and Kate (Mel) Clarke, Victoria; five sons: Steve (Nora), Arizona, Mike (Jeanette), Victoria, Ken (Lynn), Mulmur, ON, Greg (Denise), Brampton, ON, and Jim (Mary Ellen), Fergusonville, ON; twenty-six grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Brian Colbourne conducted the funeral service on Sunday, June 12 from Bethany United Church and Cemetery, Carbonear.
