Victor Hamilton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victor Stanley “Vic” Hamilton on July 2, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Vic was born in West Saint John, NB on April 23, 1948 to the late Stanley and Jeannie (Myles) Hamilton, and was the loving husband to Jean (MacDonald) Hamilton.
Vic projected a tough exterior but had a very soft heart. He was a devoted family man and his children and grandchildren were his all. He thought the world of his girls and after working with the Saint John Fire Department, he became Mr. Mom, and spent his time raising his daughters. He braided their hair and scared off their boyfriends; all the while making them laugh at his jokes and helping them develop a sense of humor to rival his own. Vic loved his honky tonk music and driving his truck on the country roads listening to his country songs. He very much enjoyed spending his time at Tim Hortons or the Renforth Wharf. His family will miss him dearly.
In addition to his wife Jean, Vic is survived by his daughters; Twyla (Matthew Dunlop) and Tanya (Aaron Malkin) as well as his three adored grandchildren; Emmett, Gavin and Levi, along with several cousins. Vic was predeceased by his parents and grandparents and his aunts and uncles.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In keeping with Vic’s wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation held.
Donations made in Vic’s name placed to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family. To sign the guestbook or to send a message of condolence please visit
