It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of David Michael Roach on July 17, 2016, at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late Francis ‘Frico’ and Shirley (Clarke) Roach.
David was self-employed with his own company (D & S Overhead Garage Doors). He enjoyed hunting, fishing and also playing darts and cards with friends.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; son, David (Neila); the true love of his life, granddaughter, Hannah; sisters, Nancy (Kenny), Audrey (Adrian), Anne (Mick) and Cathy (Ray); brothers, Bill, Peter (Ann) and Tony (Eleanor).
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Mary Ellen LeBlanc; father-in-law, Frank Hogan and father-in-law, Charles LeBlanc.
Cremation has taken place and a chapel service will take place on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Leo Penny officiating followed by a luncheon at the Army, Navy & Air-force, Smith Street, All are welcome.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 902-862-7500.
