Emily Ann Marks (nee Balch), 87, of Kentville, NS, passed away on July 15, 2016 in the Valley Regional Hospital. Emily was the daughter of Eva (Ryan) and James Balch. Emily is survived by her sister Helen Balch, Halifax, NS and her daughters Nancy Macdonald (Jerry), Grand Prairie, AB and Lynn Dunham (Charles), Kentville, NS, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter along with numerous nieces and nephews. Emily was predeceased by her husband, Robert James Marks and sister Marge McSweeney. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr (902-679-2822). At Emily's request there will be no service. Cremation has taken place and the ashes will be spread in the vicinity where dad's ashes were spread, by the Navy, at a later date.
