It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and sister, Lorraine MacMullin on July 31, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Sydney Mines, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Carrie and Richard Harding. Lorraine was a long time employee of the British Canadian Co-op and Yazers in Sydney Mines. She was a member of the Cann Rebecca Lodge for many years. In her pastime she enjoyed playing 45’s in Boularderie and Big Bras d’Or. Lorraine was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan. Lorraine will be greatly missed by her children, Carol (Wayne) MacDonald, Darlene (Kenny) MacNeil, Liam(Norma) MacMullin; grandchildren, Melissa (Dave), Natasha (Justin), Nadine (Lukis) and Jennifer (Raymond); great-grandchildren, Brett and Liam MacMullin; sister, Marilyn Amey; aunts, Eleanor Blackwood and Yvonne Francis and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael and sister, Emily Morris.
Funeral Service will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Trinity Anglican Church, 15 Queen St., Sydney Mines with Rev. Stacey LeMoine officiating. Interment to follow in Lakeside Cemetery. Condolences may be offered to the family by visiting www.fillmoreandwhitman.com.
