It is with great sadness that the family of Joan MacKeigan, announce her passing at Seaview Manor in Glace Bay on, Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at 83 years of age. Born in Donkin, she was the daughter of the late Cuthbert and Mary Struthers. Predeceased by her husband, Forrester. She is survived and will be missed by her sons, Leslie (Miwon), Keith (Debbie) and Kenneth; granddaughter, Colleen and her brothers, Bert (Norma), James (Gwen) and John, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Joan was dedicated to her children and was the happiest when surrounded by them. She mainly enjoyed the company of her family and as such will not be holding a public service. Interment to take place in Greenwood cemetery. Donations in memory of Joan MacKeigan may be made to St. Luke’s United Church, Donkin.
